"Not Here ... You Can Look Any Place"
A residency with visual artist Hans Demeulenaere.
Since 2008 Demeulenaere and Esther Venrooy have been working together and have presented site-specific installations in Belgium and abroad. In their collaboration they aim for a synergy of architecture, the composed construction and sounds that is above all suggestive and poetic. Architectural and acoustic qualities a space are analyzed and then transposed / reconstructed to another spatial situation. Aspects like the memory of, staying in and moving through space add to a both subjective, physical and mental experience of a space.
